Welcome to OHS!

Welcome to Oxford High School for the 2011-2012 school year. We anticipate another outstanding year. The OHS faculty is excited to meet the incoming freshmen class as well as our returning sophomores, juniors and seniors. Oxford High School has always been a dynamic place for learning. There is a long tradition of excellence, which we are dedicated to continuing.

  • Black History Month
  • Student Council Members: There are still several platters left from Winter Formal in Mrs. Husbands’ room. If you don’t come retrieve your dish by the end of the day Monday, it will go into storage for future Student Council events.
  • GSA is holding a bake sale before and after school on Tues., Feb. 14th! Get some sweets for your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day!
  • The Oxford High Girls and Boys Basketball Teams both play tonight versus West Point High – girls at 6 p.m. and boys at 7:30 p.m. Please come out and support these talented athletes. Admission is $5.00. ONLY STATE PASSES will be accepted (no school IDs, Booster Club passes, or district passes)!
  • CPE/Coop applications (for The TECH) are due on Tues., Feb. 14th.
  • The Anchor Club Valentine Bingo party will be Monday at 3:15 in the library. Each Anchor may bring a guest.
  • Free FAFSA and MTAG Completion at OHS!
    On Saturday, Feb. 18, seniors and their parents can enter their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and MTAG (Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant) in the computers at Oxford High School. We will start at 8 a.m. Parents need to bring either their 2011 federal taxes or their 2010 federal taxes.
  • The Teacher Academy application packet is in the Counseling Center. If you are interested in attending Teacher Academy at The Tech during the 2012-2013 school year, please stop at the Counseling Center and pick up an application. The application deadline is February 24.
  • The OHS Math & Science Team competed Fri., Feb. 3rd at the Mississippi College Science & Mathematics Tournament. Our team placed 1st overall at the tournament! They excelled on the academic tests and represented Oxford well. Please congratulate these students on a job well done!
